I'm glad you started this thread dani! I did a search for it because I was going to start one if no one else had :) I use cheap makeup because I have really fair skin and I can't find the right shade, so I don't want to spend $50 on Chanel foundation for it not to work. I use Cover Girl foundation and mascara, and Bobby Brown blush. I got the blush 1.5 years ago for Christmas and it's still half full. I use it almost every day and it has lasted a really long time! When I wear lip stuff I use Chanel lip gloss. I was thinking about going to Saks tomorrow and checking out the Chanel shadows and other things.

I recently made the switch from "regular" makeup to using Sheer Cover - yes, from the infomercials with Leeza Gibbons. Its amazing, and its pretty much idiot proof so you can actually do it without a mirror. I only use their concealer and the mineral foundation though, not a fan of the mascara and lipglodd or anything. My other products are smashbox brow tech, maybelline intense xxl mascara, snashbox oglow lip gloss and blush, and thats all i wear. Most days I just wear blush and mascara.

i bought some Max Factor blue mascara even though my eyes are brown and every makeup guide says to use black, but it looks so neat! its not really that noticable until you get really close. it also has a second tube on the end of hot pink for highlighting the tips...i tried it out one day at work and the kids said i looked like a super hero.

i found out recently that Bobbi Brown lives like 2 miles from my house. she is apparently VERY friendly and has a mini-lab slash testing area in her basement and gives out freebies if you drop by to say hi. i will totally risk looking like a psycho and stop by one day to see if she is around! a young girl who goes to my nail salon with her mom went over (with her mom, they live on the same cul-de-sac) to ask for some tips for her first dance (7th grade) and she did her makeup personally for the dance! the pictures were so cute
