    Default Botox- yay or Nay?

I have noticed recently that every TV show you watch or magazine you read, over half of all celebrities have Botox on their face. It might erase wrinkles but it gives them a frozen look that is really weird.

I think Botox should be used by older people when they want to improve their skin tone. 20 somethings (like Heidi Montag) using Botox is ridiculous!!! what do you ladies think...

I think that it is absolutley ridiculous... I think if you take good care of your skin and use day and night creams , aviod the sun you do not need botox at 20

I have absolutely no wrinkles on my forehead...at 44 that is saying something! So, I'm blessed with great skin. Why would I want to do botox? Welllll, this December a good friend was hosting an event at a medi-spa and could not find anyone to demo botox.. so I volunteered. What's the big deal, right? Well, I couldn't believe it when I saw some non visual benefits. I have early morning headaches between my eyes almost every morning and had been experiencing alot of pain in my jaws. So much that I had an appointment at an orthodontist to explore whether I had TMJ. Guess, what. The headache and pain went away! So, I've done it again. Mind you, I don't do the entire forehead just a small triangular area. No one knows I've done it because I didn't have problems before, but you don't know what a blessing it is to have the pain gone until it is!

KMarney, if something like Botox provides you with pain relief and medical benefits you shoudl definitely go for it. Headaches are one of the worst things imaginable and having them early in the morning just puts a damper on the whole day..

I think however, young women who do it just to get that shirk wrapped look should not be allowed to use it quite so liberally.

I don't like cosmetic surgery in general. It makes you don't look normal but I think botox is ok for older people but not for young!

I saw two girls in my university doing plastic surgery in their faces and yeah they look so weird they look like dolls!!
They didn't look good at all that's why I don't like cosmetic surgery!

Yeah, I would NEVER do filler in my lips. I've seen to many bad cases on celebrities and they have the money and resources to get the best!

    Nay for me....
I will grow old gracefully, some of these stars who have plastic surgery are barely recognizable...

I don't have anything against Botox, as long as it's minimal. My aunt has one line in her forehead and she goes like once or twice a year for one injection and you would never know. I don't believe in the "frozen face", that's a little obsessive. Every person is different, but if you have a few lines/wrinkles you want to get rid of, then go for it.

I think botox or plastic surgery if done moderately and in the right frame of mind is no biggie .I think you should "need" it to get it though. The whole H.Montag thing is strange .I think she looks older now actually. Also now in the future when she may "need" something done she may not have as many options since she has done so much already. The freaky abuse and overuse of cosmetic procedures is what gets me.Some ppl turn out just scarey looking! Getting older is the plan and no one gets out of it looking perfect except for Raquel Welch and I think she sold her soul to Satan years ago to still look that good all over at her age.LOL But at 38 I would consider later on if needed getting something done to look a little refreshed .(but not scarey LOL)
