    Arrow DIY: Home Spa Treatment

I thought this would be a fun thread to share some of our own at home spa tips!

LOVE: Honey & Brown Sugar Body Scrub
I actually just got done treating myself to the honey/brownsugar scrub after reading some reviews online. It really is such a spectacular experience. My skin feels unbelievably soft, just as if I walked out of the spa.

I usually go in for a body spa treatment once a month, but after trying this I don't think I will go in for a while. Especially since I have an infinite supply of honey! (for a hobby, my dad is a beekeeper) Also brown sugar is always in my cupboard. Although, I don't have Vichy shower

    ingredients:
    1/2 cup of brown sugar
    1/4 cup of honey

Try not to eat any!! lol.
Mix then rub away for sweet smelling, soft skin.

    Just one question....

Does fresh honey taste that much better than honey from the supermarket???!

Oh gees, I have no idea. I've never tried super market honey before. My guess is that it would taste the same, based on the location where it came from.

Love this thread. I never go to spas. All the facial and body treatments are my mom's recipies and they work great.
In summer, to remove spots from facial skin and get rid of sunburn,

Take 1 tbsp plain yogurt/light cream
    + 1 tsp cucumber juice
    + 1 tsp tomato juice
+ few drops of lemon juice.

Mix well, apply to face for 10 minutes and rinse. If you have sunburns, it will sting, but heal your skin and even skin tone faster

^^ I'm gonna try that one FedUp! I have used milk with a few drops of lemon as a facial treatment and it did wonders for my skin. It really did even out my skin tone & many people noticed too. It did sting a little also but other than that suffered no adverse effects. Oh and I have dry & sensitive skin....not sure if that makes a difference.

For dry skin, this is a great facepack. However, if you have oily skin, i would use skim milk rather than yogurt or cream to prevent pores from getting clogged.
