Hello, I just purchased my first bbag and want to make sure it's authentic. Any help you may be able to offer would be greatly appreciated!

ID number behind leather tag inside is: 143772-2123
color: dark chocolate brown (love to know the REAL style and color names)
year: maybe 2003-2004?
zippers: all Lampo and look authentic from pics I have seen.

Thank you for any help on the style name, year and authentication!

I am wanting a balenciaga in this style, but I can't tell much from the pictures if this one is authentic. I have asked for more pics, including pics of the interior tag, zipper pull, and bale.

Thank you! I bought it through a friend from a wealthy elderly woman (she is very reputable) who only buys on her European trips and is very educated and fussy. So I know she would only buy from an official location. She is very tight with her money! I have listed it in several locations on the forum as everyone has suggested, but I have not yet had any replies. Should I be nervous? Maybe I should ask in a different way or with different pics? Any help would be great!

that's okay, bRs, there'll be so many more bbags to come your way....

it's like a damn if you do, damn if you don't kind of thing-
gals have lucked out b/c they've taken that chance on sellers who've listed authentic bbags who may not have provided many/great photos, so there's no bid war and price ends up so low. then there're the scammers who, of course, intentionally don't provide enough photos for the bidder to distinguish the item as real or fake and make an informed decision-that's a chance too risky to take but some do the leaping before fully looking.

so i'm with you...i would've waited for more pics. i recently won a 2004 rose bbag-the listing had 2 (yes, TWO) pics. the hardware in the photo was not easy to tell, but i went with my gut feeling and prayed hard and placed a max bid. well, i ended up winning b/c there were hardly any other bidders. but between the time i won and the bag arriving, i was sweating my balls off b/c i was second guessing my judgment and decision. yeah, the bbag i received ended up authentic but it's honestly not a good feeling when you're doubting yourself-you end up losing so much sleep.....

^^^ LOL! Well, at least everything turned out okay with that. I would have been really worried too! I guess my problem is that I want something that has been discontinued. I'd really like a mini classique or mini twiggy, but they are getting almost impossible to find. I was talking to QC in her selling thread about how RealDeal had one but they wanted more than what the retail price was for it... and its used.

we're in the same boat then....i've always been a fan of the older season bbags too so the discontinued colors/styles come few and far between. there are times when i'm willing to spend premium on them but it'll mostly depend on the condition of the bag and how much i really want it. sometimes you'll pay more than retail when you stumble upon your HG(s) only to find out it's not for you (color, style, size, etc.) and wind up selling them.....
so don't worry, bRs, you'll come upon that mini classique/twiggy when the time is right and you'll be even more happy then :)
