wow that much more huh? $1600? isnt that the same price as the step and brief? i thought it would have been cheaper. Hum. now time for a decision. eek. This is going to be hard since I liked all of the bags, but I was just going to use the price as the deciding factor.

I have a question about the giant hardware bags. Is the giant hardware on all their bags -motorcycle, city, etc., as an option? That is, there's no specific "giant hardware bag," but rather giant hardware on some of their standard bags?

^Right! GH is on a lot of different styles. I think the only ones that they don't make with it is the First and some of the accessories!

I see. Let-trade had a white bbag (motorcycle? city? I don't know the name) with giant hardware recently, it was gorgeous and I would have bought it but it was very dirty on one side and I wasn't sure how effective cleaning it would be. Is its goatskin difficult to clean? I noticed it was taken down after just a couple of hours, so it went fast. They must be hard to come across?

It depends on how dirty the bag is but there are cleaning services that clean Bbags. Actually GH bags are not rare so it should be easy to find one you like.

Cleaning services? Are these local or send-in places? Do they clean any kind of purse? What's an average cost for this? Does the purse come out looking like it was dry-cleaned? (e.g., color fading. this is why I try to avoid dry cleaning for the most part)

Let-trade recently had a Vuitton global cruise bag that I would have been all over, but it was also quite dirty and I wasn't sure if I could clean it myself. I thought of tossing it in the washer, it's just canvas, and the dirt looked just like ordinary dirt, so I suspected it would come out ok, but for $850 I didn't want to experiment, lol. Also, I wasn't sure what the effect on the leather straps would be. I considered wrapping them in plastic first ...you can see I gave this some thought!
