Balenciaga Patent Glaze Gold City Bag
Meet the Balenciaga Glaze Gold City Bag!
I can totally see where the "glaze" part comes from. The trademark distressed leather has been replaced with a new glossy black leather. This unique shiny effect is created using a special abrasive treatment. The black is complimented with black lacquer-finish hardware, for a tone-on-tone look. But wait, where's the gold? Funny you should ask that. The gold is actually a metal mesh accenting the inside of the handles and the edges of the bag (i.e. piping). Very interesting, indeed! For now though, I think I will stick with the originals. If you're looking for something with a little bit of edge though, this reinterpretation might be just what you're looking for!

I love the black on black with the hints of gold! But, it's really shiny. A little bit too shiny for my taste.

I think it is probably one of those things that you would have to see in person to decide whether or not you like it. It looks plastic in the picture, but maybe it looks better IRL?

I have to hope this looks better in person. It looks like PVC vinyl, or what would happen if Am Ap shiny leggings were used to create a bag.

It kinda does have that inspired look to it. I wonder if Barneys or Nordstrom's has this bag in stock. Kinda wanna go check it out.
And I do completely agree with you Z. Balenciaga leather is amazing!!!
