Thread: F/W2011 Bag Reveal...

Unfortunately, no sun shots, but I will get on those. An action shot teaser! (For reference, I'm 5'1 bare-foot, though I've got 3.5" heels in this.)

Absolutely gorgeous bag. Congrats!!

Long overdue but given how crazy it's been - partly sunny, partly cloudy - the last week, I finally got a couple of pics in natural sunlight. Quite ironically, I have lots of natural light at my workplace, but I'm not sure how the bosses would respond to me whipping out a camera during office hours to take some pics!

Without further ado:

1st picture is with flash, 2nd without. Both in front of glass door, sunlight coming though.

Let it be known despite my love for Prince, and Purple Rain, I am not a huge wear-er of purple. Though this week I've been all over purple nails, so some comparison pics! (Since my nails are now a pastel pink!)

The China Glaze colour was DEFINATELY a close match - equally blue, but glittery (of course.) The bag looks REALLY blue next to the J.Biebs/Nicole by OPI PPP, but it's definately a lot bluer in these pictures, IMHO, than it looks in person. To mine eye, the bag is definately more purple; a cooler purple, but purple none-the-less.

The NARS Pokerface' is most definately a lavender (doi...) but it's the only other purple I have in my collection.

To give any body an indication, I stay away from reds - I'm extremely fair, cool-toned, and found Cocquliecot from the F/W collection to be beautiful, but way too harsh on me, if I wasn't wearing long-sleeves & pants - the red just tended to accentuate any ruddiness in my skin, and came-off way harsh. I had the same problem with the original red Gaucho that Dior came out with, and went for the creamy-white-grey (Blanc) colour for the same reason.

I would've been open to Cyclamen, but I have two pink bags already, and wanted something different. Though Cyclamen is GORGEOUS, and much richer in person than Sorbet, there is no doubt in my mind I could not have pulled off a warmer purple colour.
