City vs Part Time
So, I need some help. I still haven't been able to go to BalNY, so I have no idea what the difference between these two bags is.
When I look at pictures, it seems like the Part Time is smaller than the City, but the Part Time is more expensive. So, I have no idea what these two bags look like in comparison to each other.
I know I got rid of my City because it wasn't big enough, but now that I have two Bals, I think it's time to get another one (well, at some point), and I can see getting a smaller one. I like the idea of both the City and the Part Time because they can either be hand held or you can use the shoulder strap. So, I'm i need of some pictures. ZG, do you still have your city? Can you do any side by side pics?
If no pics, can someone just help me understand the difference between the two bags? Thanks!

Yes, I still have my Black City. I will take side by sides for you tomorrow.

*The PT is longer, has a seam down the middle, the handles are longer and the strap is longer.

Re: City vs Part Time
Thanks for the help Z! Hmmm, for some reason I was thinking the PT would be bigger because of the price difference. It almost seems like it would have less room than the City, even though it's longer. I think I like the way the City looks better, too. Since you have both Z, which one do you prefer?

Re: City vs Part Time
I believe the PT is wider, therefore roomier. I've tried on both the GH City and PT, and I personally like the PT more. It's more comfortable and I like the wider look as well. I had to sell my City for the reason that it was way to small for my likings, if I had to go smaller than a Work style (which is my favorite Balenciaga size), I would def. go for the Part-Time.

Re: City vs Part Time
Hands down the PT!!
It is longer and way more roomier than the City. It is my fave Bal style! It is larger than the City, maybe the pic is throwing you off? Looks like the City is closer than the PT.

Re: City vs Part Time
Yes the Part-time is larger than the City, except the City is "taller" than the Part-time by just a bit. Go for a PT!

Re: City vs Part Time
Your girls are totally helping! I need to go over to the store and see what they look like in person. It's so hard to tell in pictures. Of course I'm going to have to buy a preloved one, and it's going to be a while, but the comparison is something that I've always wanted explained, lol.

Re: City vs Part Time
I feel like the PT looks odd. The fact that it's so wide, but not tall is weird. I do like that it has the shoulder strap, but I don't think it's for me.

Re: City vs Part Time
I think the City looks better. I like to carry slightly bigger bags because i end up carrying a lot of stuff in it. The City is more practical if this happens to you too
