    Default Balenciaga Work is hurt!

Has anyone had problems with the frailing of your BBag? I understand that this is nothing major but I'm quite bothered by it. I carry my bag quite often but never overload her with stuff and I'd hate to think that its due to deteriorating quality in Balenciaga. I never had a problem with my 07' City, hmm... Any suggestions on a DIY before I have to send her out for repairs? Also, excuse the blurry quality, an inner lens in my camera cracked so that's why the quality is poor. I have to go get a new camera soon.

BTW, that was my first Youtube Video.

Sorry to say that some of mine have had the sealant issues. On my black city I nipped the threads and used clear nail polish on the seams. I will have to check my Galet Day and see if it has the same issues. Maybe it is just with the handles on the hand held bags?

    Great video BTW Viva!!

    thanks!

So you have the same problem? That's not cool but it's a relief for me right now because I thought my bag was defected or something. So how well did the nail polish hold up?

Pretty good but I didn't put it on very thick, it was a bit scary at first but it did fine. I am going to get some Feibing's Edge Kote for my black City since I think it will hold up better. I think the problem is the sealant wears off due to the friction from our hands.
IDK if you can get a purple Edge Kote but maybe a clear?

My Day has the same problem, in the same spot as yours. If I trim the threads where they're fraying I think it's not very noticeable, except for the fact that the seams are separated a little bit. My bag is pink so you would be able to notice it by the eye a lot more than your Raisin.

I guess it's just something that happens with these bags. It must have something to do with the leather and they way they have designed the handles.

Me too! On my black GSH City. It's horrible and looks so bad. I trimmed mine but more little strands keep popping up. Totally need to order that Fiebing's Edge Kote stuff. (Thanks Z). But It doesn't look like it's available in clear? Unless I'm looking in the wrong spot on the site..

ps. Sorry about your bag. Love your little vid

unfortunately this fraying thing is not an uncommon issue with Bal, but ZG's solution looks like a pretty great idea!

I just checked and here is some info and list of colors:
    Edge Kote
Recommended for use on natural edges. Dries water resistant with a flexible, deep semi- gloss. Edge Kote can be thinned with water. Edge Kote is manufactured in Black, Tan, Light Tan, Brown, Light Brown, Cordovan, Burgundy, Mahogany and Neutral.

I wonder what the Neutral looks like??

You girls are awesome, thanks for the advice. I called Balenciaga LV and they told me for repairs I would have to send it in and then they would be able to give me a price quote, which I believe would be pretty pricey. I'll just do something myself~!! : )
