What should my 1st Balenciaga be...?
Hi all!! I've been gearing up to get a Balenciaga but I'm not quite sure which one to get, they're all gorgeous! What I am wanting is a black or red bag, medium size, and not too too pricey. My biggest want is something classic, something that will not be dated by next year....
I was looking at a City or a First. Does anyone have modeling pics or feel like posting? :)
I'm also open to other bag suggestions! :)

IMO the Black City is classic Bal! It is not too large and not too small - perfect.
Here is a pic of 2 City's and 2 Day's.W I S H ♥ L I S T
Loving my collection!

Hey zombie girl!!! I think it was your Balenciaga collection that got me wanting one!! Lol. I think I'm leaning towards City because the First looks kind of small...

Re: What should my 1st Balenciaga be...?
I totally agree that a City in black is the best and classic 1st Bal choice. The hardware is totally your choice, I prefer RH but you may prefer SGH or GGH. Be aware that the GH are much heavier than RH and it's more expensive.
I think the First is a bit too small for daily use (at least my daily use)
Here's a modelling pic that I posted a while back, I'm 5'1", 8UK 0-2US (for reference)

thanks for the pics!!! Gorgeous!!
I was also thinking maybe giant part time... It's sad, no balenciaga stores anywhere within a 500mile radius hereLast edited by butt3rfly; November 13th, 2009 at 09:40 AM. Reason: Changed text

Re: What should my 1st Balenciaga be...?
Did you call to see if like there's department store in your are that carries Balenciaga?
For me, when it comes down between City VS First.. the City gets my vote. But the Giant PT is pretty hot too. It is a tough decision.. I would definitely see if there's somewhere around you that sells that designer.

Re: What should my 1st Balenciaga be...?
My first Bal was a City (that pretty little amethyst baby ZG has, hehe) - I used it for about 7 months and realized it just wasn't big enough. The First will definitely not be big enough. I agree with Z in that a Black City would be a good first Bal :)

Re: What should my 1st Balenciaga be...?
^^That's one thing about Balenciaga, the leather and color can vary from season to season. 2008 black is not as black as 2009 black, so if you want a really black one need to look at few different bags. Even the leather are different from season to season
