    serendipity, ouch, i totally feel your pain. If paypal already notify you through email then should be ok.

    I got my refund email from paypal too and i checked my ebay, it did shows the seller had refunded the full amount to me. So i'm waiting for new invoice. I will make sure the new invoice has the item number on it before I pay other wise i wont just send money for nothing...

    Don't ever give your number out! All anyone needs is the email address to bill you. They don't need the account number.

    If you get refunded by her and then pay through a different account, you have no recourse of getting a refund if the bag is a fake. When you dispute a claim, it has to be a direct transaction or Paypal won't help you. I would just tell the woman that you are patient and will wait to redeposit into this new acocunt once she gets things worked out.

    It will show up as pending but the funds won't be there automatically.

    I got panic when i read your advise, so i called paypal again, the agent told me that as long as the new invoice has ebay item listed on it, then i'm protected. I also asked her how long a dispute or claim will takes. She said 20 days for dispute, but this is only between seller and buyer conversations. If the dispute can't be resolved, then file for a claim, claim is 30 days and, by then i will need to provide info to defend my right.

    gosh... i never have a problem like this..

    I really feel for you. I know how you feel. I called my CC company and my refund has credited back to my account...That was fast. I hope everything works out for you.

    Yea, with everything going on with the bag problem I just had, I had my bf call his cc company and they said it should take up to 7 days for it to show in your bank statement on your cc!

    ok, here is the update...

    so the seller finally sent me a new invoice with ebay item # on it
    but when i click on pay now, i can't pay because "Your Money Request has been cancelled."

    seriously, this is driving me crazy... Why is it so hard to pay?!! The auction ends on Monday and i can't even resolve this until friday.. wth... I totally lost my urge and appetite on the item now... i'm so depressed...

    all other sellers worry about non-payer, but i have to worry for I can't pay for it while she has 0 feedback...

    I don't know if i should offer her that i will do the send money request on paypal or just wait until she explains why it was canceled.

    Sounds like the bag wasn't meant to be. I would take that as a sign and cancel the sale. Jmo.

    ok, i sent the payment again and it got returned again. I called up paypal this morning and confirmed that the merchant's paypal account is under investigation. So I wrote him an email saying that if he is not gonna resolve his paypal account issue as his priority then i will cancel the deal.

    He replied that he already working on it, but it will takes 7-10 days, asking if i'm willing to wait.

    nah, i told myself i'm not gonna wait. man... for the past whole week, i paid twice, refunded twice, called ebay and paypal numerous times. I had totally lost my urge on the item. I cant deal with it anymore. So I thank him for his effort, but sorry. I also told him don't leave any feedback as this transaction never completed.

    Well.... i guess it's over now~~!! i'm hunting the next one!!!

    thanks ya all, for every advise. You guys are the ppl i trust the most online.

    Getting a new PayPal account takes a long time - no offense to the seller, but he should have done all of that before he listed an item on eBay.

    It's good that you decided to walk away from the deal. It sounded somewhat strange, and I think Maevey had the best advice for everyone on these issues!

    i'm glad that i called it off because once i confirmed i'm not going to wait, that merchant is no longer registered with ebay. He has few items listed at the same time, so i guess not only me had stressed out with his auction. It's over now... yup!! i'm having fun with next hunt!!
