Have any of you had any good experiences on ebay buying bags? I bought one on there this gucci hobo, the pink one jessica simpson had. anyways i was sure it was fake the way the screws were showing. horrible!!! so has anyone bought anything legit on there? the my poupette website is supposed to list authentic bag sellers, but i saw one with the my poupette seal this weekend and i'm sure it was fake. i'm very paranoid about this.Difficult takes a day, Impossible takes a week

moved thread to shopping
moved thread. . . . .:)
LV Girl, a couple years ago my first 6 Louis Vuitton and 1 Burberry bag turned out to be replica's and not authentic bags. Horrible experience! I thought (back then) that the price was a good way of determining if it was the real deal. I thought (back then) that the more I spent then the more likely that it would be authentic. Boy was I wrong! I spent probably $200 to $700 per bag (all long gone in the garbage yard) Also I learned the hard way that sellers steal photos!! Feedback is oh so very important. I never learned, I kept buying and buying thinking that not all sellers cheat people or mis-represent their items. Now, I dont really buy handbags off of eBay, I usually sell my old bags that just collect dust in my closet. I would recommend for anyone who doesnt know too much about designer bags but are dying to get their hands on one, then to go through mypoupette.com
Lvgirl, you said that you saw a bag that looked to be fake with the mypoupette seal? hum. Do you have the auction # so I can check it out? Also I would check the site to make sure that they are infact a "recommended seller" and that they didnt just steal the image.
ps. Did you get your money back??

jennifer are you crazy?
I would have learned the first maybe second time, lol!
I have never regreted any eBay purchases. The last bag I purchased via eBay was a Chloe Paddington. It was a good purchase, but I'm bored of it already.

:) thanks ya'll. i guess i'll just stick to looking at mypoupette. the bag i thought was fake with a mypoupette seal is gone. very short auction listing like a day or two or something. no, the fake gucci bag i got rid of. horrible replica. very photogenic though. anyways, i really want a balenciaga, but i don't want to get one on ebay 'cause i've never had one so i have nothing to compare it to. any bag i buy on ebay, i'll buy a real one first so i can compare. i came up with that rule AFTER the gucci incident.Difficult takes a day, Impossible takes a week

to me coach bags are super easy to tell real or not. for some reason they just don't seem to copy well. i don't know, it just seems like a fakse coach is always screaming at you. the linind is usually something crazy or the creed is all wrong....:rolleyes:Difficult takes a day, Impossible takes a week

Please don't judge all sellers by your bad situations in the past. I totally understand that there are some sellers out to scam people but many sellers (including me) try our BEST to make it a pleasurable experience for the buyer and the seller by giving good service! Just always make sure and ask a lot of questions and if you have a bad feeling just don't bid. Most people have a good sense if something doesn't add up. Good Luck in the future and I hope your other Ebay experiances will be BETTER!:)
