Thumbs up Ebay Crackdown on Fakes!!!

yesterday i was posting one of my designer accessories on ebay. before i could click the final submit button a new window popped up with an "Alert" symbol.

It stated that the system had detected the name of a designer item in my title and i should click the submit button only if i was positive that the item was 100% authentic. It went on to detail that ebay is against fakes and listed their policy!!

It is at least a start in the right direction....

Now let's see if they are working a little harder at taking listings of fakes down. It seems like there are less fake bags on there than there used to be, but I've still seen some and reported them and ebay didn't take them down.

That is great news FU. It's nice to see eBay taking action, before the listings are placed. But once a authenticity questionable item is up for sale, I've always wondered what eBay's process is for removing...is it based on just how many people flag an item? I've heard of them removing authentic bags before.

Sell it to your friends. Or try Craigslist. Don't sell it to Gamestop because it will rob your blind.

At least with your friends and Craigslist, you can negotiate to a price that you think is reasonable. With GS, you don't get to negotiate. If you spent 60 bucks on a game, finish it in a week, and then go to GS to sell it. GS buys it back for 35 bucks, does that sound fair to you?

I'm really glad eBay is taking a step forward in cracking down on fakes! I've reported against a few sellers already just because I pay more attention on certain bags and can tell when something's off. I wish I was an overall bag expert. Some details are hard to spot in pics whether it's faux or real.

I've had authentic items taken down before! so its definately no joke on ebay, sometimes people in competition report other items that are going at the same time. I definitely wouldn't SNITCH on someone selling a fake bag though.
