You might want to double check w/some of the ladies here about selling Coach bags. It seems like I remember reading here that Coach was banning from their stores people that they caught reselling bags. Doesn't seem fair, I know. I could be getting details wrong--can anybody correct me?

So, to my question..... what is the best way to sell on ebay? BIN or no reserve or 7 day or 5 day...there are soo many options! I went ahead and listed my swingpacks for a 7 day auction with no reserve starting at $20.00. I guess I am a little nerveous it will only go for 20 or something, then I will regret selling...

Any words of advice would be great! The fact is, I have too many bags coming in and none going out. I need to do something!!!

Oh, one more question....I listed the items about 5 hours ago and they are still not showing up in the auctions when I do a search. How long does it take?
I wouldn't include the receipts...Coach could trace them back to you eventually.
Usually buyers don't like reserves, some just hit the back button when they see them. So, I would set the auction at the lowest price you're willing to let it go for.

I would also do a 7 day auction.

Your auction will show up...usually the bags that don't show up right away are either highly faked and put on eBay or there is a lot of Coach items on eBay. I guess it just has to be approved or something? But, it will show up!

I think it's just that they choose not to sell to you because you're reselling their products at a cheaper price. Who knows. It's a control thing--like they take it personally or something. Illogical, but there you go.

I think it's mostly directed at people who buy in bulk at the outlet and then try to sell for profit on ebay, but they don't discriminate between them--they just choose to not sell to anybody they catch. I don't think it's illegal, but I'm no lawyer.

KANMP - try selling on Ecrater. It's like eBay, but it's free! There is a ton of RM stuff listed on there...so I guess mainly fashion type forums use that to sell stuff.

Yeah. There was a whole thread on an eBay forum about how some lady who re-sold stuff got "the letter" from Coach saying she was no longer welcome to buy from them.

Someone on eBay reported her Coach key chains as fake, when they WEREN'T. I forget what happened to her though...it's been a year or more since I've read it! I will try to find it for you.

If your stuff is used, I doubt Coach would have a problem with you selling stuff. They just get pissed when people buy from their outlet with the sole purpose of reselling on ebay (i.e. to make a profit).

Yeah, things like handbags take a little time to show up in search. I hate that though - your auction time starts when you post the listing, even though nobody can find it in search yet!

Check out completed listings if possible for what you are selling - that would give you a better idea of what final auction prices are. I'd also check what those auctions' starting prices were.

I would NOT do BIN - the final value fees for handbags with BIN are way more than they would be for auction style. You can still do auction style with BIN and not be hit with heavy fees, just the BIN OBO style will cost a lot.

I would list them for 7 days starting at the lowest price you'd take for them. Some like to start lower, but I'm always afraid they won't be bid up high enough, but it's up to you. Good luck with your sales!
    Now on a BAN!

I did a no reserve auction on a Heritage stripe and included a scarf, they were in perfect condition. I took a bath on it, I was disappointed.
I hope you have better luck.
