    Default BUYERS REMORSE

I hope someone can help. I sold a used Alma bag on 12/8 and the buyer paid promptly via Paypal. You may see item number 200281156659. I had 12 photos and even wrote in the description that 2 corners were damaged and need stitching. Now the buyer says "Dear milliez, thank you. the bag arrived today. however i'm afraid i need to return it. the needed repairs are more severe than appeared to me in the photos. I understand your return policy is within 7 days. I will ship the bag back tomorrow and leave the appropriate 100% positive feedback. also i noticed you have quite a selection, i will continue to shop on your site. please let me know if i need to do anything else."
My return policy states "I will accept returns if there is an error on my part in description. Buyer must pay all shipping to and fro Greece.

I am very upset because I had 12 close ups of the purse including 2 of the split corners. This is obviously "buyers remorse". I do not want to accept the purse back but am afraid she will give me a negative feedback and ruin my 100% record-3000 positives. I just got the email and have not yet responded. She is sleeping now in the USA and I am in Greece. I would appreciate any advise. Thank you, Millie

I would except the return. Ebay is not very nice to sellers. She could turn this around and it can get dragged out for a month or so waiting for Paypal to decided who is in the right and who is in the wrong. I would just avoid the hassle all together and just except the return. She did say that she was going leave you a positive feed back didn't she? I also tried to view the auction but most of the pictures wouldn't come up for me atleast. Others on here might have some advice on how to handle it better. This is just my 2 cents.

Done...I think...Until I find something that catches my eye

I'm sorry you are dealing with this! Definitely sounds like buyers remorse. Is she asking for a 100% refund? serendipity is right in that it could turn ugly, but keep in mind that you are essentially doing her a favor by honoring her buyer's remorse. Make it clear to her what you won't refund her for (shipping, listing fees, final value fees, or whatever you decide) and that you won't refund her until after you've received the bag AND deemed it to be in the original condition you sent it to her in, and that you need to receive it by a certain date.

You deleted the pictures so we couldn't see and Ebay couldn't see. That was definitely a mistake.

Personally I would call Ebay and see what they say. That way you have an email address and a person to contact when you contact the buyer again.

Millie sorry that stinks.... She knew it was not in brand new condition and still bought it... If you do accept her return she should definitely pay your ebay fees to say the least...

You shouldn't have deleted the photo's. If the person files a claim, I would respond that the buyer should have read the complete description + to please relook over the photos. By deleting the photos, you don't really have any proof and should except the return.. because ebay (and paypal) will mostlikely (like always) rule in favor of the buyer.

I'm so sorry that you have to deal with this. Uhg, I dislike ebay.

Sorry about this Millie, you shouldn't have deleted pictures, this leaves no evidence. I am not as experienced as some of the others on here, maybe someone else can give you advice.

I think you're going to end up having to take the bag back, refund the buyer, and perhaps block her if you think she's going to be a problem.
Ebay sides with buyers now, and it would be best just to end this entire painful process.
Good luck and so sorry for the problem.

Heard alot of stories like this recently but honestly there is nothing you can do. Its best to just refund the money.
