I forgot who made a comment about needing a soda everyday for the caffeine boost.. Marissa: have you heard anything bad about those 5 hour energy shots? I don't think they contain sugar, mostly herbs... I can't imagine that'd be too bad if you need it to keep yourself awake, but I'm not positive.

As far as exercise goes, I made a thread about this earlier looking for suggestions for songs to put on my ipod.. I know good workout songs helps motivate me to go to the gym.. Also, I used to go to the gym everyday around 1, which was just in time for Days of Our Lives, and would hop on the elliptical and before you knew it, the episode was over, and I had just done an hour of cardio! So if you find it difficult to stay on the elliptical for more than 15 minutes, try tuning in to one of your favorite shows.. it'll make time go by faster.
I actually have not heard anything about the energy shots. I try not to be dependent on caffeine and stuff like that. My Mom has a BAD heart.. it's really weak. They always tell her to stay away from Caffeine. And it makes sense.. caffeine makes the heart beat tremendously fast. If that's not good for a heart patient... how is that good for us? I mean think about.. anxiety attacks are the result of a rapid beating heart. I also disagree with caffeine because the body can get really dependent on it. It's like a smoker.. they need that nicotine.. same with some that has to have that cup of coffee in the morning. Then if you don't have, you are in a bad mood.. etc.

Alisha is right too... some teas do curb your appetite, and some even help you lost weight. There are even some that increase your metabolism. I don't agree with the weight loss "laxative" teas. THOSE ARE BAD FOR YOU! Laxative's can cause you to get holes in your intestines, and just mess you up completely.. stay away from those.

Yup, breakfast is your most important meal. Dinner.. is your least important. I remember my professor telling us, of you want to eat something fatty go for it in the AM. I agree sausage is bad and fatty.. but believe it or not.. it's in some diet books. It's even in my health book, I'm guessing it's for meat eaters. Red meat is a source of iron, and if you are a meat eater... it's better to eat it in the AM instead of PM. Takes your body a while to digest red meat ESPECIALLY pork.

I'm a firm believer that people need fat in their diet. Some dietitians don't believe in it.. I do. I believe the body needs fat, as well as carbs.. because if you deprive the body for so long with fat.. that one little bite.. will cost you lbs. I believe in moderation, and treating yourself. That's what I do, and I exercise, and a size 3, 5 foot, 105 lbs. Obviously everyone has different bodies, just don't buy into all these diets out there.. it's fairly simple to lose weight. Just a little will power, healthy eating, exercise, treating yourself so you don't give up... you can lose weight.
