Also, it's ok to eat sweets from time to time. Like I said... our body needs fat and you don't want to deprive yourself.Sometimes people deprive themselves then once they see a sweet they indulge completely.
We also need good fats in our bodies like olive oil, nuts, fish, etc. Even peanut butter is fatty.. but it's good fat. Has an excellent source of nutrients, esp. if you are like me and don't eat red meat.
Mypyramid.gov.. is an EXCELLENT place to check out the food pyramid.. and I remember they even had food trackers. It's a really cool website.. pretty much all our studies came from that website.
