Default Re: Question...

I bought it in Rome. I'm pasting in an e-mail I received in response to a direct inquiry about the biggest Ebay seller of "Hermes". I know I am sounding like a spoilsport, but this gentleman could be a resource when trying to verify the authenticity of an item.

"Thank you for visiting Hermes.com.

Hermès can only guarantee authenticity of items purchased from an authorized
Hermès boutique. Please understand that Hermès has no affiliation with eBay nor
any of its sellers. It is highly likely that most Hermès items listed on eBay
are not authentic. Counterfeit merchandise is against the law and Hermès takes
no responsibility for items sold on eBay.
If you are interested in purchasing an authentic Hermès piece, please visit one
of our licensed boutiques located worldwide.
To find the boutique nearest you, log onto HERMÈS™ scarf, tie and fragrance and click on 'Store.'

Again, thank you for your interest in Hermès.
We look forward to your next visit with us.

Sincerely,
