I don't know about singapore, but i think LV has a return policy of 14 days and exchange policy for 30 days depending on the country. As long as your bag is in new condition i would think they would accept an exchange even if it's used. it's unlikely that someone won't be using their bag within 30 days of purchase! why don't you call LV asap? Anyway, you're upgrading. Worth a shot i think to make yourself happier.
