My moms family is from WV and thats where I lived for several years before I moved away at 19. The best part about Mothers Day, Easter, etc. is realizing how much different people are down there as opposed to ordering from ProFlowers or whatever. I saw what I wanted to send my Grandma on PF, but it was an extra $15 for delivery on S-S or $10 extra for Fri before, Monday after. I figured it was worth it because my Grandma rocks, so I called the PO for her house number (for YEARS the rural town she lives in was General Delivery) and the sweet lady not only knew her but remembered me as a kid, asked about my mom and my brother, then suggested I just go to Bessies, a place everyone in the area uses. Ive used them before and they rock, but would they be able to get an orchid on such short notice? They could, they did, they gave me the PF price even though it would have cost twice as much, AND they only charge $5 for delivery flat fee every day including Sundays and Holidays.

You have to love that southern hospitality!

Oh, and its a single stem pink orchid planted in a teacup sitting on a matching saucer.
