I always think of parents though...I mean, yes they love their kids and all but I would be ready when my child (hypothetical - I don't have any children of my own) is 18 for my husband and I to have time together to do what we want without an adult child living with us. After 18 years, it's time not to have to pay for food/clothing/shelter of your child...they are GROWN!!!
Then again, if the child was too lazy to find their own place/in college/showed no interest in leaving I wouldn't be like "hey get out of my house"...I would start charging rent and keep increasing it to the point where they would be better off living alone.
This generation coming out, many of which are my peers (I am 24) show reluctance to leave mom and dad's house and I really don't get it. Is it just that it is easier?
