Default Re: Embarrassing Moments!

I had led a boring, dull un-embarrassing life until I had my son. At which point I live daily with embarassments.

My two favorites were in Walmart. My husband was actually the closest to him for this one, which I was thrilled about because he always seemed to miss these "special" moments and would only get to laugh at them later when I called him mortified. So the first was when he asked a "Pat" if it was a boy or a girl. He was 4. And to give him credit, niether my husband, myself nor my mom ever figured out the gender.
My other favorite was when he asked a mom (in the Walmart check-out) if she was the Gramma to the little girl sitting in the cart. When she said no and asked why, he informed her that she looked too old and wrinkly to be a mom. And when I picked my jaw up off of the ground and tried to help a bit by saying that he just thinks that way because his mommy was so young when she had him, he corrected me by saying, "No, mommy, you were 30. This lady looks older than Gramma." He was 4 at the time and we had just been talking about my age.

We stayed out of Walmart for a year or so after that.

Oh, and my all time favorite embarrassing moment was him telling a fat lady at the zoo (who was in a wheelchair because she was so obese) that maybe if she got up and walked and stopped eating the chips and pop, she wouldn't be so fat and need the wheelchair. He was 5 at the time.
