Re: Tattoos?
i dont think it's trashy - i mean well sometimes it can be depending on the place but that's like wearing clothing. Some clothes can make you look cheap - others make you look great! I got mine on my lower back when I was 19, then I added to it at 20, then again at 21 and then finished at 22. It is basically a fairy...but not a fairy. It's from Brian Froud who did this book "Good Faeries, Bad Faeries". The little dudes name is Boon and there is a whole norweigan folklore about it - but all in all to make a long story short - it's a spirit guide that stays with you until you pass away and then goes to your loved ones to protect them in your place. ya...i love it. so then i added lily flowers below it to ground the art (susan means like a lily). then i wanted to really surround it and got vines and flowers that go up and wrap around the side of my waist & ribs. Ah... all-in-all it's probably like 7" high and about a foot wide. it's pretty light and airy though so it's not heavy at all. sometimes i forget i have it - but when i go snowboarding and i bend down to undo my bindings - my ass sticks out and i get compliments then...strange ya?
so if it's important to you - then what's wrong with a tattoo? my mom said i'd never get a husband bc of my tattoo...but okay...then anyone who can't accept me with a tattoo isn't meant for me!!
i've dated tattoo addicts before - 1 boyfriend had a full sleeve, another had like 10 scattered ones and the last boyfriend had 2 full sleeves, back of neck, entire back and both calves. Hahaha...oh and my boyfriend now has a VERY funny, small tattoo. Basically it was his friend who had to practice for his tattoo certification - so my boyfriend told him to practice on his back and...well he made a mistake and then BLACKED IT OUT and did it again. hahaha!! it's kinda cool looking, but i think it's awesome that it was a total mistake.
