To be honest, that really does sound like a problem. It means that you can’t afford what you’re buying, and/or that you & your husband have serious issues. That is a HUGE trust issue, and a betrayal to yourself, him, and your future together. I saw a show about this on Oprah–people with real shopping problems hide it from their significant others. I shop WITH my fiance and we never hide purchases from each other (or use credit cards, which is another issue unto itself). Sorry, but it’s not something to take lightly, I’m afraid.

I replied back saying that she was reading way too much in to my post. The lead up I wrote for the main theme of the post was just supposed to be a funny exaggeration of what A LOT of women do (not just me). I know so many people that had at least been tempted at some point to "neglect" to tell their significant other about something they purchased. She's making it seem like I have this horrible shopping problem and I am hiding tens of thousands of dollars worth of stuff from my husband.

Just for the record... I'm really not THIS bad. LOL!
