Hey Jennifer, I am the cat lady. We have 4 ourselves (that is my limit in the house) and then my kids and I volunteer at the North Texas Siamese Animal Rescue at least once a week. I happen to have all Siamese and Siamese mixes, but the shelter rescues any kitty on death row or in need of a home. I tend to take on the ones that I know no one will ever adopt.

Mimi has chronic bladder infections. She was kicked so hard by her former owner that it shattered her tail. She is now incontinent, but through a year of chinese meds and accupuncture she now only leaks slightly instead of having no control. And yes, she wore diapers for a while. She is my baby and knows it.

Miss Sunday was rescued from Pet-Abuse.Com - Animal Abuse Case Details: Hoarding - 212 cats at boarding kennel - Comfort, TX (US)
and scheduled to be put down. A vet grabbed her (even though she literally couldn't move, was deaf and partly blind from malnutrition) and nursed her back to health kinda. Once I got her here I was able to really get her better through a raw food diet, supplements and accupuncture. She is now a happy healthy 10 yr. old with one heck of a story to tell. She can't jump up or down due to her deafness so we had a ramp made for her so she can get onto the bed.

Henry was 21 when he was brought to the pound. Apparently his owner went into a nursing home and the family didn't want to deal with an old cat. When I took him I thought he would have maybe 6 more months. He has been with us for over 2 yrs and aside from the arthritis, he is a happy boy. He loves my 7 yr. old son to pieces and sleeps with him every night.

Lucy is our final rescue from 5 months ago. I took her in as a foster because she was really sick and needed one on one. Well, once we got her better, I couldn't let her go. She is my herpes (projectile yellow junk sneezing) kitty. I knew no one would ever adopt her because of this. She is the sweetest cat!

Here is my crew helping me make the bed and then one of My Mimi.
