A girlfriend was telling me about how she hated that she got sucked into the MANOLO BLAHNIK TIMBERLAND phad. She paid about seven hundred dollars for those shoes when she saw them in Beyonce/J. Lo videos and less than six months later they were everywhere, made by every single designer so the shoes loss their edge.
Another friend told me about a Dior bag that she was dying to get. She paid about nine hundred dollars for her purse. Cute bag but it has '01 stamped on it so its pretty obvious when it came out. She hates that and considers it one of her worst designer purchases ever.
Okay so my turn. Well, you already know about the $700 jeans that I got, but what I didnt tell you is that it has the year. It says "Roberto Cavalli Limited Edition 2009" or whatever year...I feel like this is a horrible purchase. First, I already didnt want to pay that much for the jeans. Second, what am I going to do in two years when I am wearing the jeans and the year is stamped on my but? I am not sure if this is a bad purchase or if having the "limited edition" makes it better. But right now I am sulking with the rest of my friends thinking that maybe its bad when you get something that is marked by a date/year or a huge trend that falls as quickly as it rises. So what was your worst designer purchase?
