well... my cousins work at Dillards... and they are told... if they get caught on ebay they get fired. Only because Dillards pays them a salary to sell goods, they don't pay them to sell behind there backs. They have to represent the Dillards name. My brother works at Disney.. he was told when he got hired that he can NEVER sell anything from a Disney park.. nothing he got for free, nothing he bought. Nothing with the Disney name can ever be sold on his ebay period. Understandable... both parties work for a company. Both parties can get incredibly cheap deals from the company they work for. The companies do not want employees going behind their backs and selling products they got dirt cheap. It's a totally different scenario... the general public has nothing to do with what is in the contract of an employee who works for a certain company. If you choose to work for a company you have to abide by there rules or get fired. If I buy a product from a company... why do I have to abide by any rules? I'm not representing a company... I'm actually making a company more money along with giving them free advertisement everytime I wear the purse. I don't sign a paper or have a manager tell me I can't sell goods everytime I buy a purse at Coach.
Also... how can Coach do this? When you go to sell a purse on ebay.... and there is a scroll bar with a drop menu and lets you pick what brand the purse is.. COACH is in there. ALSO... they have a Notice to people selling FAKE LUXURY GOODS. There is NO NOTICE to people selling Authentic Goods. If this isn't allowed... the ebay shouldn't even have them in there scroll bar. Not ebay's fault... I'm sure if they knew they would agree that this matter was a little absurd also.
I'm sure the company will fall soon. They can't compete with any purse company out there. They almost fell last year... it resulted in having sales in the stores. We will have to see how much more there stocks drop each quarter.
