Hmm... stupidity by Coach.

^Harsh but true and well said. I totally agree on all counts. I've just read through all the responses in the original
thread.
I feel so sad for the lady who was basically set up for humiliation by the Coach manager. They could have easily sent the 'scarlett' letter to her home rather than let her endure a public shaming. I do not condone Coach's actions but if they must, they should do so with some professionalism and confidentiality. To embarrass someone, especially one who seemed to be loyal customer, in your store is beyond poor business practice. It's plain rude.
Actually, I really believe Coach should reward these eBay sellers. If it weren't for them buying up everything on the discount rack or outlet, Coach would be left with huge amounts of surplus. Who cares what consumers do with the merchandise? These re-sellers have just relieved you of past seasons stock that didn't sell anyways.

^ITA...whatever reason re-sellers have for selling, it should be their business. Everyone needs to make a living/rent/car payment/etc. Some people find great deals and list some on ebay to share the goods. Some people don't live near a Coach or similar outlet. You can think of ebay sellers as stylists. They provide accessories for one who cannot attain these good on their own. Whatever reason it is, I think Coach should be less concerned about private business matters and just relish in delight that there is still a market for their merchandise.
One last thing, I think it is overall annoying how pretentious, condescending and self absorbed their 'letter' comes across. Hey, don't forget...you're called Coach, not first class. (
little joke
)
No offense to Coach lovers. My disdain is for Coach, the company.
I care about people, not corporations.
