Default Re: LV lovers, please give your opinion

I'm glad this forum could be of help to you.

Ask the seller to do a mutual agreement to not complete the transaction. This will void any eBay strikes for both of you. Hopefully, this seller won't offer the bag to the next highest bidder in a second chance offer.

Do be careful when making eBay purchases. I personally have bought only one bag via ebay and I requested multiple photos of every detail. It is especially hard when purchasing vintage items (like LV) since there is little reference resources available.

I know it's aggravating/heartbreaking trying to find designer merchandise for cheap (especially LV). I come from a humble upbringing but always had a penchant for luxury goods. I purchased my first bag (a Dior Saddle Pouchette) during my first year in college. I literally set aside $15 a week for two months (not much but pretty difficult for a freshman). Then, after another two months of saving, I purchased my first LV (the Monogram Canvas Pochette). Now, this was 9 years ago when both were about $165. If I was doing this today, it would be a much longer process.

I would recommend you just garnish your wages/allowance/whatever until you can purchase your first LV bag at the Louis Vuitton boutique. Nothing beats that satisfaction of acquiring your goods from the house itself.

Oh, and it would be best to start off bigger...say, a Speedy? Due to ever increasing prices, you get more value in the larger purchase. (Monogram Canvas Speedy 35 @ $675 vs. Monogram Canvas Pochette @ $300)

*Although, if you were to purchase online from the LV official retailer eLUXURY, you can avoid tax charges, Plus, they do present everything beautifully.
