Yes, this is what I was talking about. A department store would know not to accept the bag as a return if it had a snipped tag because this meant it came from an outlet or discount store (e.g. TJ Maxx). There are some sneaky people out there that make a profession out of screwing department stores. I know... I work at a store and we have to be careful of people trying to return items. Especially ones that allegedly came from another one of our stores.
